Kick-Off Party - Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008
The Festival of Light's Annual Kick-Off Party is slated for Saturday, November 29, 2008, in Desert Foothills Park. What better way to "kick off" the holiday season than to flip a switch of over one million lights to launch the 12th Annual Festival of Lights light display! What started out as a few arts & craft booths, two restaurants, some game booths and entertainment drawing 8,000 people nine years ago has now grown to draw over 15,000 people strong and oh, what a day it is!

Catch these rising stars in Girl Jam! Local Gilbert sensations, Jonnie and Brookie AND Radio Disney stars from SoCal, Savvy & Mandy will play at the Kick-Off Party in Desert Foothills park from 5pm-6pm. These talented girls will perform their originals as well as favorites from Hannah, Miley, the Jonas Brothers, etc.! The girls will also be available after the performance for autographs and pics! Presented by The Logistics Group and Kyrene School District.

New! Unlimited Ride Wristbands!
What an amazing value! Get unlimited access to our Activity Zone of nearly 50 rides and inflatables all day from 11am to 6pm for only $20! We'll still have individual tickets available and carnival games will require tickets (but hey, they're only 50 cents each and everyone walks away with a prize!). All rides/games/inflatable will close at 6pm when it gets dark for insurance purposes. But the party will continue with the Harley Parade at 6pm and Lighten Up Francis on the main stage until 7:30p. Activity Zone sponsored by Sedona Pines Resort.

Lighten Up Francis To Close Party on 11/29
After Girl Jam and the Harley Parade, we'll have Lighten Up Francis from 6:15pm-7:30pm playing favorites from the 70s, 80s and 90s (and even a few 00s!) Grab some dinner from Restaurant Row and a cold one in the Beer Garden and enjoy the show!

Harley Davidson Parade 6pm
This long day of fun, food and festivities winds down with the annual Harley Davidson Parade sponsored by Chandler Harley Davidson. Over 100 riders from the local Harley Davidson club parade through the hills and into the park igniting the million white lights along Chandler Boulevard. Bikes will arrive in the park between the Girl Jam and Lighten Up Francis performances at approximately 6pm.

Crafters Row 60% Sold Out
Marketplace Street really does become a Marketplace during this event! Sponsored by our local Foothills Ace Hardware, over 100 crafters will display and sell their works to help you get a jump on that holiday shopping! Charity Partners Selected for 2008
Eacy year the Festival of Lights conducts and open-application process for other non-profit charities to partner with us for our annual events. These groups work with us to plan and execute the events and in exchange, share a portion of the proceeds. FOL has selected the Kiwanis of Ahwatukee, The Melonhead Foundation and the Y-OPAS (YMCA-Outreach Programs for Ahwatukee Seniors).
