Volunteer

Wouldn't it be something if the Festival of Lights just "magically" appeared? Well it wouldn't without our dedicated community and YOU! The light display itself and the fund-raising community events and activites are planned, organized and executed by a dedicated and energetic group of volunteers. With our community growing larger, our need for volunteers is constantly growing, too! We ask you to help in every way possible! You can also earn community service hours, as FOL is a 501c3 non-profit organization.

  • Kick-Off Party

    As you know, this is our largest event and we NEED over 300 volunteers to pull it off! Donating even a few valuable hours in your busy holiday schedule helps us and our community shine bright.

  • Light Removal
    Saturday, January 9, 2010, is our date for light removal this year. We start at 9am at 24th & Chandler and work our way West. Thanks to the great turnout the last few years, we've managed to be done by about 3pm. For safety reasons, no elementary schoolers allowed, middle-schoolers must be accompanied by an adult. Wear gloves and sunscreen! No need to sign up to volunteer, just show up!
