Festival of Lights
Partner Charity Application
closed for 2022
The Festival of Lights Committee invites you to apply to be a partner charity. For over 22 years this 501c3 organization has raised funds to “Light Up Ahwatukee” with the Million White Lights Display along Chandler Boulevard during the holiday season. Each year, additional monies raised are donated back to the community to our partner charities. In previous years, Kyrene Foundation, Kiwanis, Girls Rule Foundation, The Mellonhead Foundation, Y OPAS and many more have been recipients.
The Festival of Lights Committee will evaluate each applicant and, if your group/organization is selected, a representative may be asked to make a brief 15-minute presentation to our Board and committee. Final determinations will be made in October.
Because the Festival of Lights holds events throughout the year, one of the requests of applicants (and resulting awarded nonprofit) will be the number of participants your organization plans to provide to help plan and execute the events that raise funds for the lights and the other charities who benefit. Organizations chosen are also asked to help solicit sponsorship and donations and that assistance is greatly appreciated, but not required. The next event is our annual Kickoff Party on November 19, 2022 and we do request that you provide 4 volunteers to man the charity booth from 11 am to 5:30 pm on that day.
Submissions will reopen for 2023. Please stay tuned for the announcement.
