Volunteers are needed to help with this year’s Festival of Lights Kick-Off Party at Desert Foothills Park on November 29 and 30.

The Holiday Kick-Off Party needs more than 300 volunteers to make this fun family event successful. Shifts are available on Friday for Set-Up and on Saturday for a variety of tasks. Volunteers normally work in pairs for shifts of around 3 hours each.

This is an incredible opportunity for various groups to work together and involve themselves in the community.

Teens can earn community service hours (minimum volunteer age is 12).

Ahwatukee’s biggest event, The Festival of Lights Holiday Kick Off Party is right around the corner! Always held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, this event brings nearly 10,000 people to Desert Foothills Park for fun with the family and community! It also helps raise the funds to keep the white lights twinkling on Chandler Boulevard during the holiday season and supports local charities every year. This year, the Festival of Lights is supporting YOPAS, Kiwanis, and Starbright Foundation.

Festival of Lights, a 501(C) 3 charity, is run entirely by local volunteers. Register as a volunteer!
